digital nomad wannabe <<<<< Sorcerer
Way back when I thought throwing up a webpage would be enough to build a successful online fitness business, my initial motivation was to travel.
I craved the digital nomad way of living.
I wanted to write programs from the beaches of Hawaii.
I relished the thought of helping people get jacked, shredded, and tan from cute, compact European apartments.
I dreamt of living like a king in Thailand, where our dollar goes a helluva lot further.
Being able to travel without having to request time off or booking a return flight in advance was undoubtedly my “why.”
Little did I know it would take five years, two failed businesses, and slinging a whole lotta Starbucks to gain the freedom and means to do so.
Fast forward to today, I’ve punched my digital nomad ticket, and found that it’s not all it’s cracked up to be. At least for me.
I’ll write an email on the dark underbelly of the digital nomad life few will ever talk about another day.
My days living the nomad lifestyle taught me more about myself than anything else.
I learned I value stability.
I learned I value having regular haunts to write, drink, eat, and shop at.
I learned I value having a sense of community around me.
I learned I value having a place I can always return to, and call my own.
As excited as I am to be back wandering through old European streets with Alicia, I’m equally excited to know I have everything above waiting in Vancouver upon our return.
And that, my Apprentice, is where I see the real value in gaining complete control over your life.
You can travel if you wish…or you can post up on your home turf.
You can work from cafes every day…or build a dope home office like my friend Joey Percia.
You can collect cowboy boots and vintage wines like Mike Yanda…or you can become the best damn unemployed Old Fashioned maker like Eric Bach.
Where you live, what you do with your well-deserved earnings, and how you spend your time…it’s all up to you.
This Sorcerous level of control is well within your grasp, and it doesn’t have to take a tumultuous five years of dreaming to get to this point.
In fact, the monthly trainings waiting for you as a member of the Sorcerers Guild print newsletter will help you shortcut the process.
The Guild opens its doors for members on the other side of our trip to Spain.
